Building on his success as the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion, Aung La Nsang set his sights on remaining a two division Champion. On October 13, 2018, he faced the formidable Brandon Vera, who held the ONE Heavyweight World Championship. Despite the weight disadvantage, Aung La Nsang displayed remarkable resilience and determination, going toe-to-toe with Vera Aung La connected a spinning elbow that had Vera stumbling and followed it through with punches. Defeating Vera by technical knockout in the second round and successfully defended the ONE Light Heavyweight title.

One of Aung La's most memorable fights took place on March 31, 2019, in a rematch against Ken Hasegawa. Leaving fans hungry for more ONE booked the rematch. Aung La managed to find a finish in the 5th round, with less than 2 minutes remaining Sang landed some heavy body shots and landed a right uppercut and got the finish.
